Mary’s Story

When Mary came to inspire Children’s services, her life had been chaotic. She struggled with boundaries and was self harming. After the first three months working with her key team at Inspire she was able to deal with her anger in a more appropriate way, this lead to less incidents of self harm. Now Mary is doing well in school and is thinking about her future.

Through Mary’s journey she had access to the support of her key team, EAP team and she was encouraged to rebuild difficult relationships.

Julie’s Story

Julie has been looked after and accomodated for four years she had been moved from placement to placement because of her challenging behaviour. She had been through four other placements before moving into Inspire. Julie felt let down by her family and found it hard to build relationships with other young people and staff.  Julie worked closely with her key team on a program specifically designed for her, giving her a chance to grow and develop in a safe, learning enriched environment. She is now working with his key team on our pathways program preparing for independent living.

Morag’s story

Morag came to us when she was 13 presenting as insecure and vulnerable and was not able to sustain main stream education. Morag’s key team worked on building Morag’s confidence and managed to engage her in an art class which assisted her to develop social skills.  Morag was gradually intergrated into the local high school. Morag is now in a foster placement maintaining a mainstream education time table and thinking about her future in a positive way.
